Passwar D
Passwar D is an alien frequency being who fell to Earth from outer space. Fascinated by human experiences and the complex emotions they evoke, it wires itself through human imagination and creates sonic art forms to articulate its earthly observations.
Described by Spanish indie mag Industrial Complexx as "representing information codes from another planet," Passwar D's debut LP, "The Dead Of Synthetic Prosody', is a five-track blend of genre-shifting dance and introspection. Released on Barcelona-based Diffuse Reality Records, leftfield breakbeat rhythms warp space and time in immersive soundscapes that oscillate between the energy of a post-club rave and the contemplative atmosphere of an art space. Amid a myriad of EPs, singles, and remixes on home imprint DJSD, the alien artist's new single, "Gossip", traces back humanity's tribe's connections, evoking ancient rituals and timeless storytelling. With performances across Europe and North America, including Frieze London and Teorema Festival Barcelona, Passwar D is known for an eclectic repertoire and the ability to adapt to diverse venues. Through sound, the artist explores the dynamic emotions, contradictions, and imaginations of people. Currently based in New York, stirring up mischief as the alien artist in residence at Brooklyn's music collective, The DJ's Daughter, Passwar D continues to decode human experiences through sound. Collaborations with Gene Pritsker (The Matrix and Cloud Atlas) further their mission to harmonize alien frequencies with human artistry.
