5th Balkan Can Kino Film Symposium

We are pleased to have collaborated with the 5th Balkan Can Kino Film Symposium (#5BCKFS) that took place in Athens from 19 to 26 November 2022. What is colonization today? Are we colonized? How do we decolonize? Why is decolonization important in social movements’ struggles? What is privilege? How do we deconstruct gender? How does tourism affect local communities? What does it mean to live as a minority? How do we decolonize art? 2022’s symposium focused on the theme DECOLONISE and through screenings of short and feature films, video installations, discussions, and workshops, presented new and innovative audiovisual narratives, aiming to connect the local audience with the multiple perspectives of the theme. Our collab was based on three different shows that were broadcasted through our platform during the running days of BCK.
